Alpha Kappa Psi is recognized as the premier business fraternity globally, with over 300 active chapters full of principled business leaders and over 300,000 initiated members since its founding in 1904. On a global scale, our mission is to develop university students and members of alumni chapters into advanced business professionals, something that the Eta Theta chapter emphasizes in our own chapter’s programming. 

 

Since 1966, Texas Tech University has welcomed our fraternity chapter to its impressive list of student organizations. Our brotherhood is comprised of the most driven students at this institution, ranging vastly in majors, classifications, and genders. I am proud to say that our members also represent the heart of Alpha Kappa Psi in their other endeavors, with many of our members serving as community leaders in Lubbock and at Texas Tech, interning and working for the most reputable companies in the world, and engaging in higher educational pursuits. 

 

What sets Alpha Kappa Psi apart is our commitment to five pillars: Brotherhood, Unity, Service, Integrity, and Knowledge. These ideals represent our commitment to not only developing our professional skills, but also our commitment to each other as a brotherhood. The strong bonds we make present a unique network, serving as best friends and true brothers during our time at Texas Tech University as well as a strong professional network beyond our years at this Alma Mater. Our strong alumni base both chapter-wide and nationally presents our brothers with exciting opportunities, often giving them a professional edge in the business world and beyond. 

 

When I first arrived at Texas Tech University, I found that my closest friends were people in the brotherhood and rushed my first semester of freshman year. Since then, I have served Alpha Kappa Psi through active membership, engaging in brotherhood events, fundraisers and philanthropy events, travel opportunities, professional sessions, resume workshops, and much more. Along the way, I’ve made the most incredible life-long friendships, still spending a lot of my time outside of the fraternity’s programming with my brothers. I have also had the unique opportunity of serving on our chapter’s executive board in numerous positions as I enter my fifth semester as a member on the executive board.
